Mindfulness for Life – 8 week Course

Headroom are now compiling the next cohort for another Mindfulness for Life course, starting on 10th September 2025 at The Freston Boot.
Mindfulness for Life draws on best practices from Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and the Western Mindfulness tradition, as well as integrating methods from the Plum Village approach developed by Tich That Hanh and the monastics of Plum Village.  The course is appropriate for participants completely new to mindfulness, as well as those with significant experience.  The course begins by introducing the basic practices of breath and body awareness before deepening into awareness of feelings and thoughts, meditations to nourish happiness and kindness, as well as practices to cultivate mindful communication.
The course will be face to face and structured over 8 weeks, with weekly sessions lasting for 2 hours.  In between sessions 6 and 7 there will be a full day of mindfulness which will run from 10am to 4pm on a weekend.  There will be a maximum of 10 participants.
